Industrial exoskeletons have moved from research labs to factory floors faster than most workplace safety technologies. But with rapid adoption comes misinformation. Here are five common myths — and what the evidence actually says.


MYTH #1: "Exoskeletons Are Designed to Replace Workers"

The truth: Exoskeletons are augmentation tools, not replacement technology. BMW, Ford, Amazon, Walmart, and Airbus — all early adopters — deploy exoskeletons to reduce injuries and retain experienced workers, not to reduce headcount.
